A good comprehensive encyclopaedia of D-Day 1944 - a good buy.
If you are interested in D-Day 1944 then this is a good book for your library. The format is well over 650 pages of information plus some introductory explanations and interesting appendices edited by James L. Collins. The total pagination is over 700. The book size is almost A4. It is a collection of articles written by a large number of contributors and collected into a dictionary like encyclopaedia. Unless you are an expert on this topic there will be many entries that you have probably not heard of. All the regular information of this battle is also included. The articles are well written and quite readable. The content is also very well indexed.
There are hundreds of illustrations and maps. The quality of the photos is not the highest, lacking a little in contrast and sharpness but they are all clear enough. This quality issue may be a result of the quality of the paper in the paperback version (with red and white cover). It may be that the hard back version used better paper? But I don't know. A few illustrations have errors in the titles but I did not find many. There are some useful maps too, though I have seen better and more detailed ones in other book.
Note the large number of pages so there is a lot of information here and a very useful reference work that you might well take with you on a visit to the D-Day beaches (which is a highly recommended trip). I am pleased that I bought a copy, especially at a good price, but it is worth the cover price, simply for the number of facts it contains.
This is a book that you can keep dipping into or use to look up the answer to a particular question about D-Day. Most WW2 wargamers and those interested in WW2 history will find this a useful book.

Very small and neat. Smaller than a thumb nail. Can be kept in a laptop all the time unlike larger USB memory which can damage your motherboard if you knock a larger USB device while its in use. This one is very hard to knock in that way.
Its easy to set up as a backup device to be available at all times which makes it more likely that you will do it. The size of 128GB gives you plenty of backup storage. Just take care where you keep it when its not in your laptop. Being so small, its quite easy to misplace. Nevertheless I would recommend this memory stick as a handy device to store spare copies of your files.

The light is very bright, reaching 100 ft or more and not too heavy
The light is very bright, reaching 100 ft or more when in zoom mode. Less when in wide angle but still a very useful light. Not too heavy. Well balanced when on the head. Easy to recharge, though you need to pay up to £18 to get the car charger cable included. But it is a standard larger USB mini B plug so many satnavs use the same cable and the lower priced version seems to be the same as the higher price model. If you want to use it as a street runner at night it will light your way and give you a small red lamp on the back of your head too. The main lamp is very bright white light and can be angled to point at your subject matter. Duration on a full charge seems to be good too. Switching on and off is easy with the button on the lamp at the front. It progresses from medium light to bright light and to flashing light at the front before it goes off.
