Bully Review: Pros and Cons

There is nothing like stuffing someone in a garbage can or a locker, nailing a bully with a sling shot, making out with girls from different social groups, playing dodge ball, or tripping a jock with marbles. It keeps your interest as well, and it gives you a sense of time progression (from a Halloween Party to a Christmas party, and on to the next season). You are also free to explore and do other missions like the Grand Theft Auto series. Finally, the stereotypes are utterly hilarious--- from of the wall gameplay nerd quotes of "learning to speak Elf" or a mindless bully going around yelling "DESTROY, DESTROY!!!"
Cons: It is just too easy. Most missions I beat on the first try. Even the bike racing you would expect some difficult but really there is none. You pretty much go from mission to mission with no real effort, unlike Grand Theft Auto where sometimes missions took dozens or more times to complete. Even the last mission was easy, and i was not ready for it to be over.
Overall: 4/5. Good game and it is VERY fun! I would consider renting it or buying it used rather than new due to it's ease of completion. It takes about one to two weeks to complete unless you want to get 100 percent completion, which consists of walking around collecting rubber bands and cards.

3 von 3 finden das hilfreich PROS: The game is fun, no doubt about it. It takes about 10 hours if you go through straight aiming to beat it or can last much longer if you explore and do everything. It is kind of like the Sims but it seems as if there is much more to do then the same old Sims stuff. You have the feeling as if you are trapped on a an island, and it can even be comical at times. Also, it is not as much a constant struggle to keep your Sims meters up.
CONS: Slow load times and the game freezes rampantly (even when it is new straight out of the box). It seems to happen more when you fast forward the game. Also, at times you randomly lose your ability to hit start to save or hot the "o" button. I lost a significant amount of data several times, so I gave up. Several people have had the same problem but many have not. I use the newer model slim PS2 deck and had the problem bad.
So, you must save every 5 minutes (which takes close to a minute) if you have the problem of it freezing constantly. Other than that though, it is fun.
