This is a fairly faithful account of the early life and reign of Henry VIII and the way he asserted his will on his subjects and ministers from starting off quite pliant and more interested in play, to determined to have his own way at all costs. There is, as always the usual poetic licence for dramatic effect but this in no way detracts from the overall story.
It is beautifully acted and the sumptuous costumes and sets really take you back to that lavish time in our history.
The characters that stood out for me were Sam Neill as Wolsey,Jeremy Northam as Sir Thomas Moore, newcomer Natalie Dormer as Ann and an excellent performance by Maria Doyle Kennedy as the wronged Queen and first wife, Katherine of Aragon.
Only downside for me was Jonathon Rhys Myers as Henry. I remember watching Keith Michel, as Henry, as a child and he was so good he has spoiled me for subsequent Henry's
I saw the whole series on TV and was gripped by it, being a big fan of all things tudor and wanted to own the series for myself to watch over and over again. I would recommend it to anyone who likes a good soap opera as this one was for real.

Best of Chris Rea and 10cc
I’m not a massive fan of either of these artists although they are both amazing talents. The greatest hits gives me all the songs I need.
I would recommend both albums if you just like the hits, they’re all there, or you have heard about them and want to explore their work, these albums are a good start.

70’s revisited
70’s music revisited
I heard some tracks off this album on a live performance from the late 70’s and decided to check out the album. It is well produced with excellent songs with great musicianship and Bryan Ferry’s distinctive voice. It is a departure from Roxy musics theatrical glam/art rock from the early 70’s, with more songs that show the direction Bryan would go in subsequent albums and his solo work. I would recommend this album.
