Best option available for mounting an optic.
If you want to mount an optic on a 1911, the Kimber Optic Ready option is the best way to go. Much better than the dovetail mounting adapters that replace the rear sight. They sit too high. The Kimber mounting plate has MOA built into it to help with your elevation adjustment.
