Boss RT-20 and Hammond M-3 organ.
4 von 4 finden das hilfreich If you are looking for an alternative to buying a 122 or 147 Leslie, this pedal will work just fine. It is not a Leslie and will not create the "doppler effect," however, if you use two keyboard amps and place them at a 90 degree orientation the Leslie effect will become more noticeable. Now a word about the overdrive. The built in distortion works but there is now footswitch to control off and on. I use a Screaming Blues pedal in front of the RT-20. I suppose you could place it after, personal preferance, But more importantly you do not need a heavy metal, crunch type distortion. Just a slight amount of overdrive is all that is needed to simulate the tube amp of the Leslie.
Also the virtual rotor(s) is nice and the contols for the increase and decrease in speed works perfectly! One other thing to mention is that if you plan to use the RT-20 on an organ, you will likely need a 1/4" direct out. I purchased on from TREK II, easy to install and works just fine.
Finally, the Boss RT-20 is a well constructed easy to use component. I know that other companies make Leslie simulators but they can be very pricey, and in my opinion they are still not a Leslie. So why not save you're money and enjoy the RT-20 until you can afford one! One day I will own a B-3 with a 147 Leslie, but for now the Boss RT-20 has put new life in my little M3.
