Disney Fun, not necessarily good fun.
0 von 1 finden das hilfreich If you like bouncy girl bands, this is for you. If you are picky about the attitudes expressed in the music your children repeatedly imput into their brains, then pass this one by.
The rhythm and music were fine, tho addictive, and attractive for kids, necessary to make sure the promoted concepts that the listener can do what they like, be what they like, think what they like, however they like, regardless of consequences to themselves or others is not the best for young minds.
I looked forward to getting this cd for my dance crazy young grand kids to bop to. After hearing the first set of lyrics, knowing they would be singing and dancing to this over and over and quoting the lyrics back to me in attitude, I put it away and did not use it with them. I have spent too many years listening to depressed suicidal, or the other extreme, overly arrogant, kids complaining about their current situations, and their past, and quoting from popular music that they had played over and over and over into their brains, that had affected the way they viewed their world around them, to the point that they could no longer see things from any other view or attitude.
Parents please listen to what your kids are hearing. Just cause it is Disney does not make it safe. Children develop their attitudes from what they hear and sing, especially musically inclined kids. The opening song teaches an extreme self-centeredness disguised as self esteem. There are other cds and videos out there that teach self respect and self esteem, without teaching arrogance and lack of respect for anyone else. For the sake of your kids futures, listen before you buy, or at least before you give, and listen to what they are listening to NOW and talk about the lyrics with them, and see what affects their choices of imput are having on their beliefs and attitudes.
