Funny, poignant and thoroughly enjoyable.
If you've read Peggy Rowe's emails to her son Mike which he thoughtfully shares on Facebook, and if you've heard the saga of The Big Blue Purse, you'll totally enjoy this book. And if somehow you have no idea who Peggy Rowe is, you are in for a treat. "About My Mother" is reminiscent of Erma Bombeck's writing in its loving yet wry look at family relationships through the eyes of a wife and mother, yet Peggy Rowe has her own fresh distinctive voice. She strikes a perfect balance between nostalgia and humor, making "About My Mother" a thoroughly enjoyable book.
