Good digital camera for home use or Ebay selling
I bought this camera because I own a Fujifilm MX100. I purchsed my MX100 many years ago and have been using it for taking pictures for Ebay selling. I like that it is fast and very easy to use. Not complicated. My MX100 looks similar to DX 10 but I believe it is older model than MX100. The differences that I noticed right away are the exterior, the editing functions, deleting files. DX10 has more rugged exterior, with satin-look rough-finish matte black colour. I like it because it doesn't slip out of my hand accidentally and looks very rugged. There are are few cool editing functions with DX10 that is not in MX100 but nothing fancy. The functions are vintage look photos, silver and gold, concave, convex, thin/slim and thick/fat. The slimming part did not seem to have much difference based on the LCD view. I have not done further testing. These can be easily done with basic photo editing softwares. But great for those who find it complicated. The power of these cameras don't last that long when you use AA batteries so these are best for home use, using a power adapter. The knob navigation adds ease of use so you're not always clicking a button but wheeling a round knob. You can choose to delete or reject photos without going to play mode so you don't have to waste time going through the pictures through the LCD view. You can also choose to take small size pics, 640X480 pictures, and for me these are the best size for ebay selling. The slide button for close up and normal photos is also very handy. Basically, because of the few functions, DX10 and MX100 are the perfect digital camera for home use. The size is embarrassingly big compared to today's digital cameras, so I wouldn't show it off to friends for example. The biggest drawback of this camera is the use of smartmedia which is somewhat unstable and lifespan of the smartmedia cards seem very short and they are no longer sold in stores but some outlet stores still sell them and you can buy them from China manufacturers on ebay.
