Magnum Opus from Brtish Neo Prog Heroes
This Album represents everything thats good, and bad about modern Progressive Rock. Whist the cover is fairly plain and not as recognisable as previous IQ album covers, featuring artwork designed by lead singer Peter Nicholls, everythig suggests that this album is all about the music. Representing a band at the top of their game, this album clocks in at just over 100mins which maybe too much for some, but repeat playing shows that, deciding where to make the edits was almost impossible. This line up of IQ, really work well together, featuring original lead singer and performer, Peter Nicholls, very much from the Peter Gabriel school of stagecraft, and Martin Orford, keyboard player extrordinaire, whom has toured with former King Crimson/Asia frontman, John Wetton, and returns to the group, from side-project band Jadis, as has Bassist, John Jowitt, two people that regularly guest on other projects and Concept albums. Completing the line up are stalwarts Mike Holmes on guitar, and Drummer, Paul Cook, two people that are considered to be 'The Engine Room' of the group. Ultimately, for fans of Prog rock, this is a must-have album, that your collection should not be without, and for music fans in search of something new, this is a great introduction to the group, however, its a long journey, so get comfortable!

The finest live album from King Crimson Mk 3
This live album is from the third incarnation of King Crimson, with Robert Fripp, Adrian Belew, Bill Bruford and Tony Levin making up the group this time. Featuring classic King Crimson tracks, and music from the three studio albums, Discipline, Beat and Three Of A Perfect Pair, this concert recording has been much bootlegged, but this two disc album represents the best quality sound. The booklet, as always with King Crimson releases, is packed with archive quotes, photos, and cuttings from this period in the band history. There are many King Crimson live releases available, as any fan of the group will know, but this album is a must for any collectors, or fans of this period in the groups history.

Solo Album with fine supporting cast
This album consists of the Genesis keyboard players, contributions, to two film soundtracks, Lorca and the Outlaws, and Quicksilver. Some of the instrumental work hasn't dated well, as neither, Im sure have the movies, being very much, products of the Eighties. Banks at least has overcome the vocal issues of his previous album, by employing guest vocalists. Some of the most distinctive singers of the decade, including Toyah, Fish, and Jim Diamond, contribute to this album and help root the feel, well and truly in the Eighties. For fans only
