Huawei Honor 8 - 32GB - Sapphire Blue (Unlocked) Smartphone
17. Okt 2017
Just what i was looking for
I gotta say, I was on the fence about the Honor 8 for a while. It was something that when I came across, it immediately caught my eye. I had always wanted a powerful performance phone with a mid-range price, but I was very feature particular. I wanted a Frankenstein of phones if you will. You see, I have had a decent amount of phones in the past year. I'm not the type of guy to willingly switch phones often. They had came about by damage or upgrades' sake. I finally reached a point where I just wanted a phone that would last while giving me a great experience without a ton of gimmicks or extra features that I would never even use. The most recent great value phone I had was a Moto X and I recall the camera quality not being that great. But, I had grown to like everything else with it. I also had an iPhone SE before and I loved the size and efficiency of it, but, it just wasn't Android. There were some key apsects that I was missing, like; customization, a more open platform, and something a little bit more unique. In comes the Honor 8. Everything so far has been buttery smooth. From the usability to multitasking. The data transfer was decently quick too. I also love the size. And, in a world where smartphones are growing bigger and bigger, it's nice to have a phone like this one; practical. The battery life is actually pretty decent and the smart key on the back is a pretty neat feature. You can dictate what you would like it to do between three settings; one click, double click, and press & hold. It makes it much more convenient to pull up the camera or quick link it to your favorite app. This is also definitely the most asthetically pleasing phone I've had. It's beautiful to look at and unique. The color is vibrant and the 15 layers of glass make it an eye catcher in the light. The only two things I wish it had stock would be water resistance and native screen mirroring like Smartview or Miracast, without the need for an additional device like a Chromecast. But, it's definitely something I can live with. Never thought I'd hear myself say that. But, all in all, I'd have to say that I am very pleased with my purchase and will dread when this device (like all electronics do) reaches it's end of life.
