Dated but Ancestral game
0 von 1 finden das hilfreich I've read that PS III and IV were the best of the older Phantasy Star series, and set groundbreaking examples in their time. PSIII has an internal save feature and a highly rated story line, as well as a complete inventory system and party selection ex-cetera. While I'll often rant about how older games like Marathon should not be passed up just because of outdated graphics, I did find it hard to get into this game because the towns look pretty much all the same, and were pretty limited compaired to the kind of movement and variety available today. And since mine didn't come with a manual, I have to work to understand the menu system.
After that though, the game unfolds. It really is an interesting story, with many different generations playing to save the world (not ours), and interesting characters like a robot who fights with you, changes into a boat or airplane, and a system that lets you have 6 or so people in a party at a time. Cool stuff, but I won't give away the story.
If you have a Genesis, this is a cool find that's mere pocket change to buy, or good to get in a compilation (I believe there is one for the game boy advanced?)
