Better than oily fish, imo

Harry Bamford - his life and the memorial trophy
An excellent book - in 2 parts... with loads of great pictures. It tells Harrys story; the local lad who became Rovers hero. A key part of the team that beat the great Man Utd / Busby babes 4-0 in the FA Cup ... reached 2 FA Cup qtr finals ... and lead an England FA Tour of Australia.
Harry died in a tragic road accident on the way to coaching in Clifton - whilst still playing for the Rovers. A memorial trophy was mysteriously donated - which was awarded to amateur and professional players showing Harry's sportsmanship. The 2nd part of the book has many pictures of the various recipients over the years.
Much more than just a local football book.
