Allan Holdsworth ~ The Man Who Changed Guitar Forever.
This is an incredible collection of every Allan Holdsworth studio album, packaged in a nice boxed set. A must for any collector, or anyone not familiar with the breadth of Allan's impact on music and the guitar. From emotional depth and ethereal orchestrations, to full on blowing, encompassing jazz, rock, fusion and just plain beauty, Allan transcends all of his contemporaries. This is not a "best guitarist ever" collection, as Al cringed at those types of monikers, but a crystal clear look into the mind of a true original.
Allan's music was life changing for me, and for many of his followers. Be sure to check out the upcoming vinyl release as well.
