Best Sports lens ever made...
Yes it is. I'm sure others have raved and if you go to the sports photography web site...SportsShooter..they will all tell you this is the best. Canon stopped making them apparently due to the lead required to make the glass. In low light...nothing can beat this lens hands down. Slap a 1.4x extender on it and you have almost a 300mm lens with f2.5. If you can find one in good condition...it is well worth the money.

Speed is unmatched in the 200mm class...unfortunately Canon stopped making it (lead in process of making glass). If you can get your hands on one do it. Additionally if you get the Canon 2x extender you then have a 400mm lens.
