Thanks for the Memories
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I remember watching this U.K. series when syndicated in the 70s. It was great as a child to hope that one day you could "break-out" and become a person with talents like telepathy, telekenesis and "jaunting" (being able to travel long distances by just thinking about it!)
It's great that A&E is releasing the series on DVD once again, especially for persons like me who have vivid memories of the show. Certainly, it wasn't a masterpiece of special effects, nor were the storylines particularly complex, but it was the first time a serialized show existed for children and young adults. Though the acting isn't the best in the world, the series does slowly improve noticably within the first box set.
If you were as I, curled up in front of the TV with a bowl of popcorn when this originally aired (along with other notible British shows like Dr. Who), you should definitely see it again. Whether or not to buy is the real question. You must really want to view it again and again to purchase; otherwise, try Netflix to relive those old memories.
