Value, size & performace. If those matter to you then this is a great buy.
I purchased this phone to use on the Straight Talk system and I am not disappointed at all. Unless you NEED a front facing camera and the features of the newest Android OS (rooting could solve that anyhow) This is a great phone. My contract was up with Verizon and decided to shop around and saw that ST lets you use ATT phones by only buying a SIM card from ST without the need to unlock or root and I was using an HTC Incredible anyhow but wanted a bigger display. This is a perfect fit for me and was VERY easy to set up on the ST system. Battery life was pretty nice with the stock battery but I sprung for a 2450Mah battery and it easily goes all day for my use which is mostly text and some voice. Net is very good as well but ST is very limited net (no matter what they say, unlimited is NOT unlimited) but the WiFi easily compensates for that. I have yet to have this phone lag or freeze, everything is very quick and responsive. The display is nice and bright at full brightness but I find at 50% is plenty bright for most indoor situations. The camera is very nice and takes nice pictures as will any camera with similar specs. The phone itself FEELS sturdy and is a little heavy but I like that, you feel like you are actually holding something. Compared to the newer phones in this class I say it still holds up well and is a great value at an 80 to 150 dollar price point, even more when you use a low cost carrier like ST. Cost of phone will be covered in first two months of savings with the ST plan I chose compared to what I was paying for less of from Verizon.

Can Be A Good Buy
This is another great laptop IF BOUGHT WITH THE RIGHT CONFIGURATION. I personally love Dell computers and probably always will. That does not keep me from being honest in their failing also. That being said..... Let us dig right into the cons. Never buy ANY computer with a Celeron CPU, trust me, just don't. They decided on this one to only have one external indicator that doubles as a power, low battery light. No hard drive light or key function indicators. HUGE miss on this design. Sure, it looks cleaner, but sadly computers can still freeze and lock up during tasks and would be nice to know if the hard drive was still reacting or just idle. I see 3 USB ports becoming the norm. I will gladly pay the extra 2 bucks to add a 4th port. Myself I use a wireless mouse and keyboard, that takes up 2 right there. One extra port would be handy so often in my case. No HDMI port though in the 1525 there was one. Not a deal breaker but more functional as digital tv is now commonplace. The high gloss black is cool but picks up every print that touches it and your constantly wiping it down otherwise it looks pretty nasty and beat up. Something a little surface texture could have easily remedied. Now the good. VERY nice screen. colors are deep and not washed out like I have seen on some. I am able to use a slightly lower brightness the image is so good. Like I said starting the configuration is important. i recommend nothing less than a 2.0 Ghz or higher CPU, Pentium or Dual Core.......NEVER Celeron. Good sound. I owned a 1525 before this and the sound is noticeably louder from the 1545 which makes watching a movie or stream much better of an experience. If you can grab one of these between 200-400 you will be getting a good deal if the CPU, memory, and hard drive are of decent specs.

If You Don't Need A Touchpad, Give This A Look.
I purchased this laptop because I was looking for something that could basic browsing and some not too intensive flash games as this was purchased for a friend. First impression was that I was not expecting something SO rugged. Just looking at this machine you think it could survive a pretty hefty fall. A bit heavy but as rugged as it seems to be built is to be expected. Upon opening the lid I was shocked to see there is no touchpad at all, only a touch stick mid keyboard. This was my bad for not researching more but touchpads are pretty much standard so never expected there would not be one. Using a USB or wireless mouse solves this easily but if you require a pad this is not the machine you want. Mine had been upgraded to Windows 7 and with only 1 gig of ram (will support up to 2 gig) I am impressed how well it moves along without too much stress on resources. This machine was built for XP but with the dual core CPU Windows 7 seems right at home. The screen is matte being this is a business machine but is quite adequately bright and easy to see. This machine seems to run quiet as I did not notice any loud noises. I do not usually hold a laptop when using it so I can not say for how hot it might get upon one's lap but the weight alone would make this better suited for use upon a sturdy surface. Aside of the lack of a touchpad I like this machine. 2 gig of memory should do well to upgrade this for the intended use of light gaming and normal web surfing. I did not talk about the hard drive since size and brand is going to vary but this model is suppose to have better shock survival and isolation. Mine runs very quiet and was no noticable noise. I see these often under 150 dollars, at that price well worth the money and enough horsepower to be useful still for a while to come.
