am very surprised with the quality and versatility of this backpack.

There is plenty of space in it for my 17in. laptop. in addition to the laptop, i can easily fit two laptop batteries, ac charger and cord. There is also plenty of space for my 10in. tablet, nook 1st. gen. reader. usb/ac cable/plug, plenty of pockets for software, pens, etc. I have room to spare in this pack. I am considering stowing some of my camera gear in here when i go on vacation. aside from the camera gear, and software, this pack is pretty light feeling on the back when wearing the pack. as i have it packed now it weighs about 25-30 lbs, yet it does not feel heavy while wearing it on your back for any extended period of time. i think this backpack could be very helpful for any university student. and could double as a daypack for those who do dayhikes.
