Not what you would expect from description
First, this is not a printer for novice. Second, it isn’t necessary that you will receive printer with Tronxy branding. Mine was branded as Dymco. Third, this printer needs a lot of tweaking and upgrading if you want somewhat decent results.
Assembling instructions were copied from some other manual and not complete. I managed to find more complete instructions online what helped. Instructions are in form of drawings, which isn’t bad, but they lack information like orientation of NEMO motors and such, which led to removing them just before wiring and that is rather difficult once the frame is nearly assembled.
Some cables and wires are much too long, while others are just barely long enough and it is impossible to organize them in neat bundle at the controller board. It looks more like a mess.
Assembled frame is not rigid as expected, one of the reasons being thinner acrylic used than originally designed. The difference is obvious in mortises, which are wider than the tenons. And those gaps contribute a lot to shaky frame. Hence, the print isn’t as good, precise as it could be.
Barrel in the assembled extruder arrived fixed wrong way, upside down. As there was no PTFE tube inside the barrel eventually clogged and extruder was blocked. It took some time to clean everything. One has to do that while parts are hot and that complicates the whole job. It would be easier with new barrel and nozzle, but I didn’t have them at hand.
With my printer it is impossible to print really round circle. There os always about 0,1mm difference in xy axle. And it was much worse before I made some brackets to stiffen the frame.
So, is this printer suitable for you? If you want to have cheap 3d printer which only needs assembling and then you expect everything will run smooth, no. If you want to buy cheap platform to learn about 3d printers and printers, than maybe. But first look around, read and watch as many different reviews as possible. And never, just never believe all there is written in the description of these cheap clones. You will notice yourself that texts and pictures are copy/pasted from elsewhere, with contradicting claims in the same text.
I still have serious problems with prints. See attached pictures. Sometimes it looks as PLA was moistened, but that isn't true. It is fresh from vacuum closed bag, even kept it in oven at 50 deg. C overnight. And filament manually extrudes without a slightest problem. Still a lot to discover.
