everything's gone green
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich weezer's 2001 green self titled big come back album grown on me quite a bit. i remember that when i first heard it i wasn't too impressed, but i have since learned to listen to it in a different way. allthou the album can appear very static - many of the songs are similar in tempo and style and song structure, there are basically no guitar solos that does't just play the vocal line, the actual sound of the album is very compressed and undynamic in sheer contrast to weezers first two albums.
however, when letting the songs grow on me, and i got used to the sound of the album there's undenyably brillant melodies and fantastic pop songs here. it's much like an album of early 60's pop, where the songs can appear similar in style, sound and production - once you get under the surface you still have a bunch of really good tunes.
