Everything old is new again.
I bought this to hear the original versions of Here I go again and Crying in the Rain. It was interesting to hear in this version of HIGA they opted to use the word hobo which was replaced by drifter in the remake. Still seems like an odd choice of words even for '82. Other than that its note for note the same. There was a third song on here that I think was redone with alternate lyrics and released on the Slide it In album. Its a solid blues rock album, not quite as good as Come 'n Get It but a worthy listen for Whitesnake fans.

First timer
I saw MLIW at the ICC Church in Boston for my first time on their last tour. The live show was fantastic and I opted for t-shirt over the CD. Afterwards, I regretted not buying a CD and picked this up cheap. There are more emotions than breakdowns which isn't usually my preference. These boys give 150% though and when it needs to pound it pounds. This is an album that plays best in its entirety for the full ride.

Mispent Youth
This is the way they used to make music back when my biggest concerns were who would buy for me and how much wood I can find on the beach at night for my bonfire. Listening to this incredible disc transports me back to Yirrel Beach on the North Shore of MA with the smell of salt and burning wood in my nostrils and the grittiness of snad in my Chuck T's. For those of you who never lived near the beach, this album defines 80's heavy metal (not hair metal) with super heavy rhythm riding and fast strumming as necessary, all wrapped up in a blues blanket right down to the cover of Glad All Over. They sing about fast cars, loose women and mideival shit like a metal band should. Buy this CD, then hunt down the "From the Vault" comp that I think came out on Megaforce Records for another classic track. You will be hooked! Not meant to be played at low volumes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
