Better than I was expecting.
Much better quality than I was expecting for the price. it is very quiet and quite powerful for such a small fan.

Good quality but a little expensive.
Good quality but a little expensive. The last one lasted 20 years. Direct replacement for the earlier versions so no pipework changes. Also has balanced cold water outlet with non return valve at the bottom which most cheaper pressure reducing valves don't have

Brass seat fails making it continually leak
Original unit lasted about 15 years until an uncontrolled leak occurred at the seat of the pressure valve so ordered a replacement from Plumbweb on ebay. It lasted about 2 months and leaked from the seat of the pressure valve. I manually lapped the seat and it lasted another 6 weeks, The problem is the seat/seal of the pressure valve is just made of thin soft brass (the whole unit is cast brass) and if you get any sort of bypass it erodes the seat/seal and the water passing cuts the seat deeper and deeper so after a week or two water is pouring past the seal. It just like the old brass garden taps, once they drip the seat just erodes away and they leak constantly. Why can't they install a stainless steel seat which wouldn't fail, it is 2021 not 1921 and for £52 I would have expected something that worked!
