Not Quite Hitchcockian
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I purchasd this movie for two reasons:1 - It was heralded as "Hitchcockian" and 2 - Johnny Depp.
For the first reason, I was ultimately dissapointed. Although the film had a common theme that Hitchcock used, Ordinary Man drawn into Extraordinary Circumstances, it lacked the true visual genius of the master. Several attempts were made but few succeeded such as the clock sequence.
However, if your a Johnny Depp fan, this film will not dissapoint you. His performance as usual is superb. Christopher Walken also delivers a chilling performance as the "bad guy".

Not as good as the first
2 von 5 finden das hilfreich This is the 2nd in the series of The Left Behind books and as most sequels go it is not as good as the first. However, it was interesting enough to keep me reading till the end. The book moves quickly, too quickly, leaving not much room for character development as in the case of a new character that had been added at the end of the first book and then thrown into this sequel. By this end of this book, she is still a flat, one dimensional persona.
