  The plates are beautiful . . . just as described. Unfortunately, one of the plates arrived cracked down the middle. I hesitate to "blame" the dealer because these plates are approximately 100 years old and have been subject to many kinds of stresses over the years. One thing that I have learned through my own experience as an antique dealer for many years is that, in packing, one must pack evenly all around the items. Failure to do this may have caused the plate to crack.
