Grandia Xtreme
If you like RPGs & live in the UK, then you are bound to miss out on some titles that have come out in Japan & the US but will never be released in PAL territories. One of the main reasons I'd like to think is that most Japanese/US RPGs don't generally tend to sell well over here compared to other genres like sports & FPS games, although it does have a very strong following amongst those few who look forward to such releases. Another reason could be difficulty in localisation, although if for example a Japanese games does not make it to the US, then it is very likely it won't come out in Europe due to the language barrier.
Grandia Xtreme is an example of some great RPGs that never had a European release. Its a shame because Grandia 1 & 2 did have PAL releases.
Eventually this is one of the reasons why European & UK gamers decide to import, which is not to miss out what they were looking forward to. Thankfully I was able to find this game at a good price and am enjoying everything about it.
The story in this game is funny & entertaining. The fighting system is very engaging including various ways to attack which keeps the variety in place. The difficulty is also very well balanced even for the less experienced RPG player.
The only problem I had was the lack of a save feature at various points, although don't let that put you off since this deserves to be played.
So overall I would like to thank Ebay for allowing us poor European/UK gamers to buy from NTSC territories to make for the lack of a PAL release. Also a thank you to the seller for the excellent game & buying price.
