Great Manual Mechanical camera!
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich The Minolta SRT series is a great manual workhorse. These cameras while now very old, are The perfect manual cameras for small format film shooters. There are some common problems with these cameras. CDS cells for the meter often come loose making the meters not work properly. The springs in the shutter often get a bit gummed up, making the shutter not work as it should. It will click, but mirror won't return. fix with CLA. While heavy, big and clunky, you can't beat a manual camera's operation. The Rokkor-X lenses are tack sharp, and inexpensive. Look out for aftermarket lenses, The Iris often will not work after this many years. SRT201 has some great features, Depth of field preview, Hot shoe, and PC (Flash) connection for studio strobes or handle mount flashes. It gave up mirror lock up from the 101 in favor of the ability to do Multiple exposures.

Solid and full featured
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Minolta 7000 is a great camera from the beginning of our auto-focus camera adventures, and as such has some limitations. While the phase detect auto-focus system works well, and as well as some currently available systems. Yet there is only one auto-focus area limiting your choices. The mode selection dial has available all the options you need (PSAM) but not all the groovey new scene selection modes of a new camera. DX coding for the film is great, and like all automatic features on this camera, you can override it. This is a Great early auto-focus camera, built like a brick with a great lens line up that is still current. Its one disadvantage is that time has allowed us to update all the functions so that they are fancier and work to a higher level.

Great little wide angle lens
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I have multiple versions of this lens. MC, early MD, late MD, they are all tack sharp, small and easy to use. Easily sharper than any of the zoom's offered, and faster too. What is not to like? The Celtic version is as sharp as the Rokkor version in my testing, perhaps just my copies.
