Pick it up if you like these games, but don't pay much for it.
I remember owning this game back when it came out on the Sega CD. Great cast and an interesting concept for it's time. Some would say it's not really a game as much as it is a movie. My only problem with calling it a movie is that you really don't get to watch most of it... You are usually busy going from room to room trapping the bad guys that you end up missing a lot of the story. So you miss what is going on, and sometimes not sure who to trap.
The Saturn version is nice that it comes in clearer than the Sega CD version and makes more use of the screen. It's a Digital Pictures release who made other Full Motion Video(FMV) games for various systems. Like Night Trap you are basically watching security cameras which are strangely placed in these people's apartments... You go from room to room watching video clips and wait for them to trigger a trap. Problem is that you are not always sure which trap to set so you will need to memorize a lot of it as you progress. Some if not a lot of people will get tired of watching the same cut scenes over and over again. Nice thing is that at the end of each act has a save point.
It's fun to pick up and play through every once in awhile, but don't expect much. Luckily it has a pretty good cast. No challenge or strategy here. This game is mostly about memorization.

Great driving sim for Dreamcast, and CHEAP!
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich If you like driving games for the Dreamcast, I recommend this game. Graphics are very nice for the system. I use the rally wheel when playing this game, so not going to comment much on the controls. Handles very well though with the rally wheel, and only issues I would have would be with the wheel itself in some minor ways. What I like the most is the day to night transitions with the weather also included. This makes each race interesting since it seems to be completely random. Unlike some games where it rains on a certain lap every race.
I picked this up brand new for five bucks! If you are interested in driving simulators/ racing games. Pick this one up.

Last Hope: Pink Bullets. Great game for fans of shoot 'em ups.
I really enjoy this game. It has great music, great backgrounds, and good replay value. I'll put a few things in here to let buyers know what to expect.
1.) You start off with the pod on the front of your ship as opposed to the REGULAR version (just titled Last Hope). Does this make the game easier? Yeah, but considering that you want to collect bullets it should always be attached. The pod does not leave your ship. You can not shoot it off further ahead of you or have it follow you. Better yet, at least how I feel, the pod rotates around your ship allowing you to shoot 360 degrees.
2.) I have to say I love the music in this game. It's got a bit of a relaxing feel to it, and nothing to over bearing and loud. I just find that obnoxious in some games when the music is some chaotic digital techno mess. The music in Last Hope is still upbeat without making you want to turn it off.
3.) Backgrounds look really good along with the enemies. I like when programmers put in little touches to their games like having the ship tilt when you move up or down on the screen. The debris that flies off of you or an enemy when it explodes is also a nice touch. Details like this show that there was time put into the game. Of course not always, but in this case yes.
Overall I would recommend Pink Bullets to someone who likes these kinds of horizontal shooters. Feel Pink Bullets is too easy, then maybe pick up the regular edition. It looks good, sounds good, and plays good. This is one of those titles that I pick up from time to time and play, trying to beat my previous score. Unlike some where I don't want to even bother. So yeah, I would say if you can find a copy, pick it up. It's a good later release for the Dreamcast, and the NG/Dev. Team did a good job with this one. 5 Stars.
