Heavyweight story with gentle features.
Astounding mix of coming of age scenarios, courage, forgiveness, awkwardness. Then lace it with swirls of impending doom, and revelations of horror with dealing with mental illness issues. All these are balanced in this story ( which felt like 2 movies in one ). All the above are sympathetically portrayed without gratuitous macabre. The story excels over all, and the actors superbly chosen. This has now joined my shelf along with other time greats eg Poet Society.
Thank you to the production, writer, and actors for such a cinema experience of real life issues hidden all among us around our daily lives.
Not for all viewers, but the mental issues were well portrayed.

Allows all Win-7 games to play very well, some games demand it to play.
For an Older GFX Card it still packs a good punch and the annoyance of switching to a newer OS up from Win-7 which fails many games from bridging over, is avoided. I have rebuilt my Win-7 with this card and keep this computer as my legacy gamer unit. I am disabled and these games are my TV replacement. I rarely watch TV.
To all in China I wish you all the very best for a brighter future, you came thru and the packaging survived delays and handling. Thank you.

Shocking, cringing, another time in history, yet still close today people I know.
Frightening to see how private lives unraveled in the face of so much blood-shed and day to day short life finality. The copping mechanisms were limited to what was available. Yes I cringed at certain moments. But these are not my life, its their story. It made me take stock of where did I cut people off in my life, which now I accept was cruel, in the face of the foster families I received care and love from.
Though the coming of age boy character may uncomfortably be the main story character, even as a grown up, his portrayal of unfinished regret served me more than the rest of this story.
Astonished that this controversial movie was so polished and well funded. Well shot in low definition of the 90's, and intelligently scripted.
Not for the average viewer, only for the non-judgemental empathizer of other's experience in a different historic age period.
