Brenda Lee Jingle Bell Rck cd
My 8 year old granddaughter just loves Brenda Lee's voice and this cd was bought for her. Indeed, Brenda Lee was/is a fantastic singer! I have to kind-of laugh about my granddaughter's fascination with Brenda Lee---as I said she is only 8 years old. What makes this even more amusing to me is that my grandmother and my father were also big fans back in the day when she was at the height of her popularity. (They were such big fans that like so many other baby girls born in the mid 50's, I was named for her!)I grew up listening to her music. I haven't heard much of her music in years, other than the song Jingle Bell Rock which is always played at Christmas time. I enjoyed this cd very much. If you like Brenda Lee, this is a must have. Jingle Bell Rock is a Christmas classic, I think. And no one sings it better than Brenda Lee. No doubt about it, she has a distinctive voice and style.

The Country Vet;s Home Remedies for Cats
I am very interested in holistic, homeopathic,natural, and herbal cures as well as old home remedies. In my opinion, this book was a waste of money! It in no way came close to being what I would consider to be a home remedy book. It constantly stated to take your cat to the vet for everything from having fleas to spraying---"take your cat to the vet." It recommended the vet using flea medication on a cat--which is dangerous, in my opinion. It also recommended "bombing" your house if you get fleas in your home. This is also dangerous and usually futile because fleas are developing a resistance to the commercial products. (I have used natural ingredients in the past and have had great success.) I thought it would be nice to have a book about natural, home remedies for cats to add to my collection of home remedy books. This book is not what I was expecting and it is a disappointment to say the least. I would not recommend it to anyone. I think it is common sense to know when your cat appears seriously ill; there are times when you know you need a Vet! But I'm sure there are instances when some type of home remedy would save you the time and expense of a trip to the Vet. This book falls short of giving really useful home remedies!
