The Wii can get old fast.
0 von 3 finden das hilfreich Nintendo Wii is without a doubt, the most revolutionary of the 3 new systems (Wii, 360, and PS3). It uses motion sensors and a controller more like a TV remote. It comes with the Wii Sports game, which is a whole lot of fun. But like alot of games, it gets kinda old/boring pretty quick. The system can be kinda annoying, considering you cant really set down your controller (it is strapped to your wrist most likely). So if you want to pause and take a drink, you have to move your whole body over to do so. If you dont have AC, you can work up a pretty decient sweat messing around with Wii Sports too. The graphics honestly compare to that of Nintendo 64. But that is not what this system is about, which is why it only costs half what a 360/PS3 will cost you. A great feature is the almost fully capable internet browser. You can surf the web from your couch and watch Youtube videos or whatever you want, with certain plugin limitations. You can also download classic Nintendo, N64, SNES, or Turbografx 16 games. They cost Wii points, which cost $20 for 2000 points. Nintendo and Turbografx games cost 500 points, SNES games cost 800 points, and N64 games cost 1000 points.
I gave the Wii a shot, but have been playing my PS2 more than my new Wii system. I think I prefer the amazing graphics of the PS3 over the Nintendo64-like graphics of the Wii, so I have to get rid of it for one. Maybe I am too old for it.. is 24 that old?

Tiger Woods 08, good but has its issues.
1 von 3 finden das hilfreich Tiger Woods PGA Tour is always been a great golf game. Not much has changed. The game has been out for about a week as this point. People are still not able to upload their game faces online because of server problems with EA. Alot of people are very upset about this, because alot of traffic should be expected. This game is also freeze-prone. I have had it freeze up on me about 10 times already.
On the other hand, the gameplay is real good and smooth. The analog sticks seem to be a little bit too sensative. The graphics are great and online play is great, as usual. Overall I would give this gamne 4/5, because of technical issues with it.

Damnation, just a bad game.
3 von 3 finden das hilfreich There is really only one place to begin... Damnation is just not a good game. The story is irrevelent and dumb, the boss fights are easy, the driving sequences are awful, controls arent great, enemy AI is extremely stupid, your partners are terrible, graphics are so-so and the levels are extremely long.
This game is first and foremost a shooter. There is alot of platforming involved also. I guess to compare it to some games would include, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Prince of Persia, and Assassin's Creed. The game is nowhere as good as any of the before mentioned games, not even close, but the game is a mix of them.
The game also has it's share of driving sequences. Also note that driving sequences have you defying gravity many times. There is not always a clear way to go and you will just fall to your death sometimes. The checkpoints aren't terrible far away, but why play this more than you have to? The camera angle is bad also in driving sequences and no, you cannot change it.
If you do decide to get this game, get used to the following:
Enemies to fight. Lots of platforming. Long (not always clear or marked) driving sequences. Partner does something stupid and dies. Rinse and repeat.
I guess if you are into trophies, this is a pretty easy game to get platinum on. Easier even if you use the cheat codes to unlock Insane difficulty and play once thru on co-op (but really by yourself). Co-op by yourself is actually pretty easy, considering you can revive your partner/teammate from just about anywhere on the map.
Overall, this game earns a hearty 1/5 rating. Do not waste your time buying this peice of garbage, but if you must play it, rent it or borrow it from a friend (who unfortunately owns it for some reason).
