Canon 400D
After becoming bored of the basic sensor the Canon 350D, I felt an upgrade was needed. I have fallen into the Canon vs. Nikon war and, fortunately I was on Canon's side. I had built up quite a collection of equipment.
I looked at a range of cameras. The 550D, 1000D, 40D and the 400D. The 550 was much too expensive for my pocket and the 40 felt too basic. I wanted a large sensor you see. So, it was a toss up between the 1000D and the 400D. The 1000D was quite a lot more expensive but with few more extras. I bought my 400D at a good price on eBay and would recommend it as a STARTER camera. I have already out grown it within a few weeks. I always recommend buying expensive lens before expensive bodies as they are what make the difference. The sensor size was just so I could crop more. :)
