Definitely this is a movie with a gimmick; the screen is split into four distinct quarters for the entire duration of the film, although on any time interval significant action occurs in only one of the four quarters.
I saw this movie when it was released and liked it, mostly because I found the gimmick interesting. I bought a VHS copy on ebay recently to show it to my 16-year-old son, but he found the storyline to be vapid.
I would grade the movie at 4 out of 5 and my son would give it 2 out of 5, so I'm posting the Review Rating as 3 out of 5.
