Good and simple router D-link 2640R

very stable and smooth.
supports upto ADSL 2+ which is a good point.
Wireless signals are also good and this router is recommended for a simple household and can work for some offices too..!
if your firmware is outdated you can always update it from the d-link website.

Good switch and Value for Money
It is an excellent unmanaged switch. The uplink is automatic and does not lag or does not cause problems.
Using this switch in my office since 2 years and did not cause any problems
Very recommended for small and medium businesses. Would fit in all places if installed properly.

Excellent book. Increase your knowledge from the scratch. A must have...

It is also very interesting book to read if you have an interest in the networking field and also if you want to know more about IP and how computers are connected.
If that is not enough then you can also test your skills by questions which are there at the end of the chapter and after that check your answers.
