Well worth the effort to reminisce about Australia's innocense melting away as a result of a TV soap opera
Was 11 years old when this program first aired and it was banned in our household! Finally get to watch it after 40 years and must say it portrays a unique period of time in Australia with humour and a gentle touch of cheekiness. Back in the day it appeared to cause some outrage from conservatives, but today its sexuality and other "taboo" subjects seem simple and almost innocent.
I've watched the episodes a few times now and am more impressed with each watching as to the subtle sophistication of the characters and the better than average (for the time) script and acting.

Just mind blowing that i can buy new toy tyres for a plastic model car from the 1960's.
