Close emulation of a classic mic
This mic is one of those attempts to emulate a classic, more expensive mic by a different manufacturer. And it comes really close – to a point where a blind-fold test will probably leave you hanging, not knowing which is the original. The Vienna Mk8 has beautiful, smooth high frequency definition and will cut through the mix extraordinarily well. It features an 18 dB pad and an HP filter, if needed for certain situations. Heavy Metal Machine!
All hail the mighty James Hetfield. As metallica fans know Hetfield has been playing explorer-style guitars for a long time – for it’s big beefy tone. One theory some of my friends have is that it’s easier to pick down strokes on an explorer, and Hetfield is the fiecest down stroke picker of all time. Just listen to Master of Puppets and try to play that main riff all downstrokes without getting a cramp. Hetfield insists down strokes just sound heavier, and I can’t argue with that. What I like about this SnakeByte guitar is how light it is, while still retaining its trademark beefy tone. Top that off with active EMG pickups and you have yourself a heavey metal machine. You need to check this guitar out.
