Efficient yeast with fairly clean results.
Followed the instructions for this which is the standard sugar, water, yeast combination. The fermentation period was 6 days at 25c. The resulting wash was pretty clean and of low odour. No carbon was used as there didn't seem to be the need for it.
Found an increase in quantity of around 10-12% in the finished distillate which was the usual fiery spirit with a very slight odour.
Rested so the angel's got their share and then diluted to 38%. After a couple of weeks, the result was a pretty smooth liquor.
This yeast is recommended due to the excellent results and value for money.

Does the job and not too noisy...
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Previous to installing this, I've had a major problem with algae despite frequent water changes. I've only had this problem since installing two commercial internal filters as opposed to my own home made one.
Instead of going back to my own design, I opted for an external filter as the price is now very attractive and was cheaper than my two internals put together.
Within hours, I could see a difference and my tank is running with crystal clear water. I left the internals in until the external built up it's bacteria but now the tank runs solely on the external filter.
Water is still crystal clear and algae is dying back.
The instructions DON'T tell you that when you are doing filter maintenance, all you have to do is unlock the hose adapter which makes it even less messy (thanks YouTube).
The inlet and outlet seem to be designed to fit on the side of the tank as the spray-bar won't attach when mounted on the rear but I got around this by missing the spray-bar off.
Also, something worthy of note is that the tank clamps for the pipes don't open far enough for a Fluval Roma tank with it's plastic surround.
All in all, a good external filter that's worth the money.

All the other puzzles I've done rated the same as this are pretty easy if you think in the right way.
This one is a real challenge! It took me nearly an hour to take it apart and three days later, I still haven't put it back together again.
Best value for money in this range and I can see me looking at YouTube in six month's time as I just can't work out how I'm going to reassemble it before then.
