Almost perfect!
I received this book when it was originally published and wanted to get another for a friend. Except for the dust jacket being a little scuffed and torn, the rest of the book was perfect!

Bright, light, lots of features, and a good price.
Pros: Lightweight, 4 brightness levels, good tail switches, uses 18650 battery, and includes sophisticated features.
Cons: Side switch is too easy to activate and the instructions are difficult to understand and need to come with a microscope.
I wanted something that would use 18650 batteries but also have some lower brightness levels. My wife and I walk our dog at night on a wooded trail between a couple of neighborhoods and I didn’t want to scare someone if I accidentally pointed it toward a home. This light’s 100 lumens level is just right. My 4 cell AAA alkaline battery flashlight has to be recharged every 3-4 hours of usage at about 100 lumens but this one is rated 12 hours at 100 lumens, much more what I’d hoped to have. On the brightest level, it’s very bright although I don’t have anything rated near the 2000 lumens that this light is supposed to generate for comparison. The tail switches have a very solid feel but the side switch is very easily activated by barely touching it. The instructions provide a way to easily disable (and enable again) the side switch if it’s a problem however. The instructions are complex and don’t make a lot of sense but they aren’t important anyway since you can’t read them without a microscope. Good instructions can be found at flashlightz dot com for the Klarus XT11S which apparently functions the same way. I’ve been using it for four days (2 hours total probably) so far and the indicator is still in the green (70% or greater battery power remaining) but do not plan on dropping it or soaking it in water to test those features. One of the modes includes two strobes and even will flash SOS. A nice touch is the lanyard, which has a clip you can slide up to tighten it around your wrist. Overall, it seems like a very good light for a good price compared to many others advertised. UPDATE FEBRUARY 2023: Have used this every night for about 30 minutes for almost 2 years and still working great. Battery is still taking a good charge and light is bright. The only issue is that it was dropped once from about a meter above pavement and now the tail switch sometimes doesn't start the cycling through the brightness modes. A restart and slow touch with the tail switch does the trick. The switch itself seems to operate okay but something in the circuitry must have been affected. Still, I'd buy this light again.
