You've got a Cisco lab? This console server is for you!
If you've got a Cisco lab, or other computing gear connected with serial console ports, have you ever be annoyed with the bunch of cabling, especially with console ports?
The magic with that device is to connect all serial ports of your lab to that console server, one IP address assigned to each console port, and voila, you're done!
Item exists in several versions: SCL8 (8 console ports) to SLC32 (32 console ports). You even have the SLB884, able to console 8 devices, and power on or off devices remotely. Really a must!
Note, however that there are often issues with power supply (or supplies) of these series. Output capacitors tends to dry out, meaning that an old supply may not always start after a power cycle.

Good for everyday use, but not for PWM generation.
This is obviously not a bad product at all. It works fine for everyday signal generation (square, sine, triangle). However, it lacks an important feature: full duty cycle range for square wave generation.
That remark, since I had to build some kind of fan regulator, that extends PWM pulse if it is too short. That function generator can be set only from 20% to 80%, not less, not more. That this lack of feature is not only related to the 33120A, but many signal generators have the same issue (short duty cycle range, if any).
About easeness of use: when you adjust duty cycle, you have to be quick: 33120A remains only few seconds in that menu, and it switches back to frequency. Not very practical for PWM tests ...
As a point of comparison, I have also an Agilent 33220A (a bit more recent) : it perfectly handles duty cycle from 1% to 99%, and it does not switch back to another menu if you adjust duty cycle.
If I had to purchase a function generator, I would go rather for a 33220A than for a 33120A, that seems a bit overrated, especially in comparison of cheap chinese brands.

A 40+ years multimeter - but worth every penny!
Though being a 'little' aged, this is probably one of the best meters ever made: simple to use, accurate, and very easy to repair (provided you can find spares).
The plus of this meter was 40 years ago, the bargraph under the numeric display. The slogan at time being was something like 'race between analog and digital is over. The Fluke 7x has both'. The bargraph is very reactive and became a signature on every meter built later.
The only drawback: spares are scarcely available due to its age. Knowing that, common failures are the 1k fuse resistor, an OEM part made by Philips, and the ADC. Both failures of the ADC: meter displays all digits for seconds then fade away, and the second failure, quite common: offset on some ranges, including ohms.
Apart that, if you like a meter that is really a meter and not a toy with tons of useless gadgets, then this one is for you. And compared with the 170 series, I prefer by far this one: lighter, and DC current 'instantly' (no need to press an extra key).
