Hi, I am a quasi-retired senior veteran who is engaged in the hobby of Garden Railroads. I like unusual cars & I make some interesting changes to my rolling stock. On my layout I like lots of "animation" & have moving trains, autos, pedestrians, etc.

I bougth two of these with the intent to drastically alter them
I bought two of these for the intended purpose to disassemble the drive units, and cut up the boiler-cabs to make one unit this is quite long, and use the remain short pieces to be a cartoonish Stubby Locomotive that could be used with an Aristo-Craft Egg-Liner, which I intend to sell. The extended Boiler-cab will be mounted on a flat car. The two Tenders will be cut up as necessary to cover the drive units and then the flat car with long boiler-cab will be mounted at each end to an extension of the two tenders and will pivot at those front and rear junctures to achieve a triple element double hinged locomotive representative of a Garrett Articulated Locomotive.

Reason for purchase...Parts for another car modification
I bought this car to use the doors for another project. I am converting a Aristo-Craft streamline ribbed side Observation car into an RPO Combine car...fascimilie...so I can use the car in my streamline set. (I'm also converting a Vista Dome car into a Vista Dome Observation car....being as no manufacturer produces that in G Scale.

I have no idea how well this unit will hold up. I dislike the idea of having to rate the product, without any history of it functioning in my vehicle for a couple years. Sure I EXPECT it to fit, but my "satisfaction level" will not be known for at least two years, and I damn sure hope it lasts much longer than that!!
