New JBL EON610 Two-Way Multipurpose Self-Powered Speaker and Monitor Make Offer

EON610 for our backyard
A bit of a different use case here. We’ve got a several acre backyard, with one large area specifically getting a lot of fun outdoor activity. While I used to DJ many years ago, I don’t have this type of gear any longer, and attempted to use a JBL Extreme or JBL Partybox to meet our outdoor party music needs, but neither could handle the need. The JBL extreme speakers started barking from being pushed too hard, and the Partybox simply cannot properly fill the space as we want either. The EON One looked interesting, though I did want something that could reach further. I liked the idea of streaming audio Bluetooth capability of the EON One, but I ended up opting for the EON610 since it was cheaper, and I felt this model would have enough volume, punch and ability to fill out space with sound. I checked other model speakers with notably lower price tags, but since in the past I’ve had several other JBL speakers including previous EON series speakers, I felt confident in buying the EON610. The EON610 doesn’t disappoint, the lows of the EON610 are perfectly adequate for our audio needs, the highs are crisp, and the EON610 easily fills our outdoor space with plenty of sound, without needing to max out the built-in amp, or nearing any limits, unlike smaller units. Granted I did need to buy a small 4-channel mixer with the streaming Bluetooth audio capability that we wanted. I wouldn’t have done anything differently if I had another chance.

Garmin Nuvi series GPS
Overall I'd have to say that the Garmin Nuvi series GPS units are great. I've had a Nuvi 200w, a Nuvi 250w and now the 260w. The 200 I sold and got a 250w, which I accidentally cracked the screen on, which was my own fault and just recently I upgraded to the 260w which had the additional feature of voicing the names of streets, not just to turn in x number of feet. The wide (W) models o the Nuvi are a must, as I wouldn't ever want one of the regular sized ones since they seem on the small size screen wise. The signal is almost always right on and I've been able to navigate through most major cities and country/ mountain areas in the USA with it. It's a great starter GPS system as well since it comes decently loaded with plenty of points of interests loaded and you can enter in most any address into it and have them found with only a few entries not able to be found, but those are even entries that any mapping system including mapquest would have difficultly locating for you. This Nuvi has all the basic features needed, without all the silly bells and whistles of the higher models. I have no need for a picture viewer, an MP3 player or blue tooth to be built into my GPS, .... nor would I want those things integrated into one. The price to value comparison for this unit is wonderful as the cost is cheap enough for most people looking at GPS units to afford, with everything you've come to expect from Garmin, a reputable GPS navigation company. I've also used other GPS units from Garmin like their Street Pilot series and some from TomTom.... but the best bang for the buck is by far the Nuvis, with it's portable size, great battery life (when not plugged in), great intuitive user interface and nearly always on point with it's accuracy.
