Fighting WWII in the Comfort of your living Room
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich This is another great game from CDV.It has great graphics,gives you three difficulty settings,and allows you to fight in historical battles with your own flair.It has streamlined play,the icons move in a realistic fashion.One of the better aspects I found,was certain light tanks are ineffective against Tiger Tanks,or late war Russian Heavy tanks.This made strategy very important.Your units gain promotions,allowing them to improve.Each improvement grants your units new special abilities.Very Cool!There are three campaigns,and I found myself completely immersed in the game.My wife reminded me at 2am I had been playing for over 12 hours straight.Unlike many other RTS games,you don't need to spend lots of time building resources to gain units.You are given a set amount of reinforcements and once they are used,you better hope you can defeat the mission with what is left.Missions are varied,from mass tank battles,to a lone sniper paving the way for the mainline mission.There are secret objectives that give you bonuses,and If I had to give this game a downside,it would be that it wasn't long enough,and it does not have great replay value.The missions are the same with no changes except the AI is more difficult,sometimes to to a very unrealistic level.I would highly recommend this game to any fan of WWII genre,or RTS fans.I found having my broad knowledge of WWII helped me,because I knew the capabilities of the units and was able to utilize this to my advantage.If you like WWII RTS look no further than CDV,and grab this fantastic game before it gets away.
