My Go-To Camera
As an insurance adjuster I take thousands of pictures in all types of conditions. The job is very hard on cameras. I've bought six E510's and three are still working. One of them took over 13,000 pictures.
Under those conditions I don't need to spend hundreds on a camera that I might drop off a roof. I've never paid more than $45 for one of these cameras.
The E510 has features you can't find anymore, like a viewfinder - needed on sunny days to see where you're aiming. It takes easy-to-find AA batteries. (I use Energizer Lithium batteries because I hate dealing with rechargeables.) It works as low as 640x480 (required at one time) but now takes great pictures at 2MP. It's light, rugged, cheap, and it works. Great little camera.

Great Insurance Adjuster Camera
I take thousands of pictures for work, and this camera has a set of features that make them better. To begin with, it has a 28mm wide-angle lens. Very unusual feature that allows me to frame the right picture when there's no room to back up any farther. It runs on any available AA battery (I use lithium) so there's no need to remember to charge batteries or to keep an oddball size on hand. Battery life is excellent. Some carriers want low resolution pictures to save storage space, and this camera has a 640x480 (0.3 megapixel) setting. It also runs at 2, 3 or 5 megapixels. Controls are simple and flexible. The only negative is a flash that's a little weak for pictures of a whole room.
