Limited horizon
Darlington was a "Motive Power Centre" from when my great-great grandfather established the UK's largest iron rail foundry at Albert Hill in 1859. The book only deals with 1950's+ - perhaps better described as the twilight years for steam in Darlington.
I feel the information on the book's cover is misleading as it misses out 90% of the story.

After hearing Hill's piano concerto, I just had to acquire recordings of his other works
