Great Smartphone with a few unfortunate drawbacks
The Samsung Captivate (Re-branded Galaxy S) is an amazing phone thanks to the awesome Android OS. With the Android offering a Multitude of Customization, I'm happy I made the switch from the iPhone 4! Although the Retina display is better, the Super AMOLED is still really clear and vivid. Samsung also offers other cool shortcuts and Interface options that other Android phones don't offer, or not as well.
What are the drawbacks? No front facing camera or flash on the main 5MP Camera. I do kind of miss FaceTime and Tango Video Calling, but this is not a feature I used often so it was not a huge determining factor when I was looking for an iPhone replacement. And No flash? That's taking technology back several years! It almost seems ridiculous that Samsung would exclude this! But alas, I don't take many phone pictures (I prefer to use my Digital Camera) so this too was not going to turn me off to the phone. With that being said, the phone does take fairly decent low-lighting pictures. Just don't expect to be taking any pictures in dark.
