First sigma lens
I got this lens at a very great price, even though this lens has been out of production for awhile now, mine is brand new display model. I am realitively new to photography and bought this for birding and other wildlife since I couldn't afford the canon l series lens. The one thing I did notice is this lens needs light, unfortunately it is overcast here now so haven't really got a true feeling of what it's really capable of in good conditions . Another I did notice is lens aberration is a lot better then my kit zoom so that's definitely a plus. I did read the af hunted alot on other post but have not had that issue although the motor is a bit loud but doesn't bother me. Seems as fast as my Canon lens.

Great lens for many different situations.
I like taking outdoor photos , birds, deer etc and own a Sigma 120-400 mm lens. Although the sigma is a great lens I was looking for a light easy to handle lens for quick trips to the lake during my lunch hour. This cannon 55mm-250mm STM fit the bill perfectly. I was skeptical at first being the lens is so cheap but my very first pictures with it came out stunningly sharp! It is a plastic mount but I don't treat my camera very rough so that so far hasn't been an issue for me. If you are looking for a lens that's affordable has a nice range and takes sharp images this is the lens for you.
