Very low starting voltage and very low noise level when they reach Noctua's air throughput performance.
I ordered two fans: this one and EE80251S3-1000U-999.
Anyways, this one starts at 2.8 Volts while the slower EE80251S3-1000U-999 only needs 2.4 Volts to kick off.
At the said voltage, when I stop them with my finger and then remove the finger they start spinning again. That of course when they are brand new.
Yes they are both pretty noisy at 12 V if you compare them to Noctua but they don't sound that bad at 5-6 Volts (and Noctua NF-A8 PWM only starts spinning at 6 Volts, and it makes a lot of funny noises at that voltage - it needs at least 7.5 Volts for a steady spin.)
Their air volume and noise level at 6V doesn't seem to differ much from the Noctua's at this 8V.
And of course ball bearings are going to last longer.
