The hardest game you have never heard of.
Subterrania is a space shooting game, where you are able to fly in any direction... You also have to fight the laws of gravity in order to be stable. This can be a little frustrating for new players, because the learning curve will be long at first. Story: Aliens have started attacking humans. It's your job to put an end to the conflicts and save the Earth. You will get to use an experimental spaceship, which can become a submarine after you have found all the sub parts for it. There's not really much to the story. Gameplay: As I said before, this game will feel frustrating for new gamers, because ship control can get hard, especially when you have to attach something to your ship. You also have to worry about conserving fuel, and hitting walls.. Not to mention the various enemies that will try to attack you as you carry out your missions. There are also 3 types of main weapons for your ship, along with different levels of them. Controls: The controls seem to be a bigger enemy than the people shooting at you. The garvity system makes the controls very frustrating. Once you get used to the controls, the game will be a lot easier. Music: plan midi bliss pretty standard with most genesis games. Overall: Sub-Terrania is an often overlooked and highly underrated title that most people will put down without even giving it a chance thanks to its steep learning curve and its difficulty. The game looks, sounds, and smells like the average shooter but as it turns out it's more of a strategic puzzle that values piloting skills over twitch reflexes and manic shooting. The game's worth looking into if you're a hardcore gamer who's bored of the usual shooter and looking for something original, but it's definitely not for everyone. If you can get used to the controls, and having to deal with gravity, then you are in for a great game. If you liked this game also see: Solar Jetman

Giga Wing - Capcom/Takumi
released in 1999 by Capcom and 'supported by Takumi' (who would also be involved with the excellent Mars Matrix the next year) The 'Giga' in the title chiefly refers to the insane scores this game lets you make. In how many games can you make a billion without breaking a sweat? It's not that hard to get a trillion either, my best is close to 30 trillions. As the arcade flyer says, "Go for the Giga score!". The player controls one of four different futuristic aircraft and must destroy enemy aircraft, tanks, ships, and buildings using both guns and missiles mounted on the aircraft and a limited supply of bombs which damage or destroy all enemies on-screen when used. The game is based on the player(s) trying to destroy a medallion which possesses great power. Many of the bosses use the medallion as a weapon. There are a lot of explosions in Giga Wing. Aircraft carriers nosedive toward the ground far below, blazing infernos. Bullets pepper the sky and make it difficult to see the beautiful valley floor below, or the roiling lava flows. By the time you reach the end of the final stage and go toe-to-toe with a mobile hangar, you’ll probably be reaching for the Tylenol. Yes, it’s that kind of game, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. The game works thusly: you pick one of four pilots, you take to the skies, and then you start whimpering. There are too many bullets, too many jets. The screen practically squirms on your behalf. Thunderous explosions make for a mournful dirge and before you know it, you’ve lost one of the planes in your reserves. As the replacement soars into sight, momentarily impervious to assault by enemy projectiles, you vow to have your revenge. Then you do. One of the things that’s so nice about Giga Wing is that once you fall into the flow of things, you may actually find yourself gnashing your teeth and shouting at the monitor: “more bullets, more bullets!” That’s because you can charge your shots so that an absorptive shield encases you, cocoon-like. Once your aura is prickly from collected shells, the bubble implodes and shrapnel flies outward. You’d better hope you timed your charge right, because that tactic will now be unavailable for several seconds. That’s where the bombs come into play. Later levels will present you with a gauntlet of destruction. Heavily armored turrets sit astride towering parapets and floating islands (there’s always a floating continent or two in games like this), or a particularly powerful jet might soar into sight while its brethren zigzag across the horizon, guns blazing. It matters not. All you’ll know is that you can’t absorb the shots for at least a few seconds, so you press your special attack button and suddenly the doom you faced has become your own playground. Chilling arctic winds lash heavenward as pillars of ice freeze your opponents. Or perhaps a widening black hole appears while lightning arcs outward. You are a god. When you reach the final stage’s conclusion, you’ll be disappointed to find it all come to an end. That’s the game’s one true flaw. Mission that ends almost as soon as it began. That aside, considering the minimal amount of cash it’ll take to make Giga Wing yours, the game is an obvious purchase. Two player mode Four characters lots of ammo/score If you enjoy this game also see: Mars Matrix Giga-Wing2 any other shooter =D

middle limit poker
I particularly like about this book is that it doesn't waste your time with a lot of very basic stuff. This book is truly a hidden gem. The writing is clear and logical, and the quiz/explanation format is perfect when I'm wondering whether I played a hand correctly. In the last four months I have gone from someone who was terrified of hold'em to a consistently winning player, thanks in large part to repeated study of this book. I believe that if you plan to play limit poker this book is a must. This is a dense piece of work. Not for beginners, but if you are serious about winning, this is the book to get. find your self in a place of comfort no matter where you play. Limit hold 'em is the most played form of poker today as many card clubs only offer limit and spread.
