Excellent lathe chuck for the price
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich This is a great performing chuck at any price and especially for the price asked. After receiving it, I disassembled it completely and cleaned everything thoroughly. I find that this is good practice on Asian import tooling. After machining the included back plate per instructions, I installed the reassembled chuck on it Checking the runout with ground stock, I got .0005" on 1/2" stock at 2" from jaws and .001" on 1" stock at 2" from jaws. I have other self centering chucks for this lathe, but none compare with this one. I don't know if I got very lucky or this product is consistently this good, but it was certainly a pleasant experience.

Works well, poor documentation
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Unit performs as it should. Documentation is not good, there is no instruction on mounting the unit on the mill. You will need to go to the internet and find Sino or similar installation instructions and manual and you will be good to go. Be prepared to make up some additional mounting hardware and you will probably need some additional fasteners. But come on guys, the thing costs less than $170 and performs most if not all the functions of the units costing 8 times as much. Longevity---who knows!
