A great, fun and entertaining game with definite value for money.
I bought this product as a gift to my other half as we have now got a Playstation 3. We had originally owned it for the XBOX360, and loved every single part of it.
If you are a Sonic lover or a fan of tennis in general, then this is the game for you. With a range of modes ranging from single matches to Superstar mode to online play, this game offers hours of entertainment for family and gamers alike. Superstars offers hundreds of minigames/missions for you to get the prestigious AAA rank on! On completion of said missions will unlock more characters/courts/sound tracks.
I had brought this because I love collecting trophies, and I had gained quite a few achievements through the XBOX version, and was quite disappointed to find that it did NOT have trophy support which is why it had gained 4/5 instead of full marks. So trophy hunters, beware.
Personally, I think this game is in a league of its own. There aren't many other games that offer similar quality in terms of fun, entertainment, originality and features. Every single player (character) have their own unique special moves.
This gives the player more chance of scoring a point. For example: Gilius throws a magic bottle in the air and covers the opponent's side with thunderbolts, if they touch one the character will be stunned for a brief moment. Or Sonic's signature "Super Sonic" attack, which causes the tennis ball to zig-zag in various directions around the court when he hits the ball.
Features aside, it offers a great sport while introducing some of the original Sega characters, such as:
Sonic/Tails/Dr. Eggman/Shadow/Amy Rose, Alex Kidd, NiGHTS/Reala (from Nights into Dreams), Gilius Thunderhead (from Golden Axe), Beat/Gum (from Jet Set Radio), Ulala/Pudding (from Space Channel 5), Amigo (from Samba de Amigo), Aiai/Meemee (from Super Monkey Ball).
I loved this game, and every single part of it. Despite the lack of trophies, I will never regret buying this game.
