Great book
I love the fact that the book was written by a person who grew up with Diabetes. It is a tearful book for a parent of a newly diagnosed diabetic child. I have not read it all the way through, but I am sure that it will be as good throughout the entire thing. Two thumbs way up!!
Okay, I did read almost all of it, and it is still informational for a parent with a newly diagnosed child.

Very nice phone
I love the concept that my son can only call the numbers I set on it. I love how it is so easy to figure out. (people please just take 5 minutes and read the manual) I love that it is compact. I love the peace of mind I have when my diabetic son is walking/riding to/from school. I don't really like that the ringtones are so hard to hear. I guess you can't have everything though. Overall, I would do it again and again if I had to. My son is 8 and very responsible so I know he will not abuse it.

great help
It is a great help for my son with diabetes, especially when we are eating out or otherwise do not have a label to use for carb counting. We carry one where ever we go and then we don't have to guess on his insulin dose. I wish that it had more foods in the book and be more realistic on the portion sizes. Not everyone is going to have a kitchen scale to weigh things in ounces.
