Great if you know the franchise.
Clearly a very slick and highly-evolved product, but it assumes you are also. I am new to FIFA games and thought Id try this one as its recent but not as expensive as the ones from last two years.
There is a sense that you probably already know how to use it since theres been one out every year since time began. Eventually, after a day or so of on-off trying, I put it down and bought Pro Evolution Soccer, which, so far, i prefer.
It may be because Im using a standard Sony controller but in the training events it was impossible to get the player doing things in the firection you asked. In particular, there is one where you are surrounded with 16 mini goals and you have repeatedly score in the goal it highlights. It was comical how many of these missed. No matter what I did the controller would not go where you pointed. Other skills training was the same. After hours of trying I was screaming at the TV and Ive left it for PES now. Perhaps I will go back and try again some time.

Less puzzle and option, more graphics. Still good game.
Another good game in the series.
Very graphics heavy and with exhaustive cut away stories nearly as long as the game itself, and with less puzzle solving than older titles in the series and fewer navigational options and discovery, you do feel sometimes that youre walking a straight line from A-Z and being prompted to press a specified button periodically. A very pretty and engaging journey, but a mono path nonetheless.
That said I am currently playing it through for the second time.
